Services at Foundations Therapy Jax are tailored to meet the individual needs of the client and family; as such, the process can look different for everyone. In general, the therapist will meet with all people present at the intake appointment to gain a clear understanding of the issues bringing you in to treatment. Background history of the client and family is obtained and the therapeutic process is discussed at this initial session; goals and objectives are developed and a course of treatment is outlined. Therapy is a dynamic process. Of course people come in to therapy for a variety of reasons; however, occasionally, the therapeutic process reveals a new understanding of the situations and issues bringing people in, and the recommended course of treatment evolves.
